When you attend an event, do you ever think about all the hard work that goes into planning and executing that event? Recently, Alabama Horse Talk looked at the world of equine event management and production companies and what it takes to set an equine event in motion.
Due to a high variety of equine disciplines, there are just as many types of equine events, all with special needs and checklists. Whether a rodeo, horse show, equine expo, or other type of event, they all require knowledge of the market and attention to detail.
Equine event production companies are gaining in popularity as events compete for attendees and participants. In Alabama, we have hundreds of equine events per week. One tool that is helping equine enthusiasts and event planners is Alabama Horse Talk’s Statewide Equine Events Calendar. Granted, with so many events going on, it is difficult to avoid conflict, but this tool is helping folks to not only better plan their events, but also provides enthusiasts with information in planning their own personal equine activities.
Nancy Ray, of Justalil Rodeo Company, interviewed with me on Alabama Horse Talk Radio and shared her experience in planning children’s rodeos in Alabama over the past fifteen years.
