This week, Alabama Horse Talk highlighted horse riding clubs in Alabama.  In our state, we are blessed to have a variety of horse associations, saddle clubs, and trail riding clubs to choose from.  As well, we have a multitude of arenas and trail riding destinations.

These clubs promote various disciplines through showing, pony club activities, and trail riding.  Families with horses enjoy the benefits afforded them through club membership, including being able to find a ride buddy easily, the ability to use the club arena, participating in not only horse activities but social events, and developing leadership skills through involvement with club administrative duties.

Alabama Horse Talk Radio interviewed Jimmie Lay, President of the Outback Trail Riders, and Bobby Whaley, Past President, about their club activities, history, and upcoming events, showcasing this treasured Alabama equine resource that has been established for 23 years and is still going strong.
